Cell Phone Contract Length
1 comments | Post CommentsWithin the last year and a half, T-Mobile changed their policy and now also require a 2 year contract. Therefore, all the cell phone carriers and cell phone plans you find on our website require a contract length of 2 years. For customers looking for other options, the only other option available is to go with prepaid service which does not have a contract requirement.
Prepaid service gives you the flexibility of no contract, but will cost your pocket dearly. The phones are more expensive and the cost per minute is a lot higher compared with contract plans. Our recommendation is to go ahead and sign up with a contract length plan and before you know it, the contract will be over.

First Time Cell Phone Buyers Should Purchase Contract Plans Over Prepaid
0 comments | Post CommentsBenefits of Purchasing a contract cell phone plan over Prepaid
- Free cell phones. Whenever you purchase a contract cell phone plan, there is always free cell phones available for purchase. This is true with all carriers. Look through our site at all carrier sections and you will see free and extremely discounted cell phones available with all plans.
- More Minutes for your money - When you purchase a contract length plan, you pay a set monthly amount for the length of the contract. In return for this amount, you will be given a set number of minutes to use per month. Comparing these minutes with a prepaid plan minutes, you will see a big difference in the ratio of cost/number of minutes.
- Better Customer Service - During the length of your contract, if you have any questions or problems with your cell phone, your carrier's customer service will gladly answer and help you in any way they can. For customers whose phones have gone bad because of a manufacturer's default, customer service will most likely replace their phones for zero or very little charge.
- Better Cell Phone Plans - Many contract length or postpaid plans come with free nights and weekends, a feature not available to prepaid customers. This is an extremely useful and beneficial benefit for postpaid customers.
Prepaid Cell Phone Disadvantages
- You get less minutes - As a user of prepaid plan, you get less minutes for your money compared with a post-plan.
- No Free Cell Phones - You have to purchase your device and activate it as a prepaid cell phone, no free phones come with a prepaid plan.
